TREK 1000 - INTRODUCTION

This eighties something Trek 1000, is one of three Treks bicycles I have owned.  The others being an, all steel 400 series and a really nice Trek 1200.  The bright blue Trek, "as found", was in gorgeous condition and offered to me by Lady Luck herself.  Paint chips and scratches are few and far between.  The paint is not faded, anywhere.  Oxidation has not claimed a single part.  And it appeared to be very little used.  All in all, one must wonder why the bicycle was even purchased in the first place.  Probably costing in the area of $1,000.00, it defies logic that such a purchase would go all but unused for twenty or so years.

Once again, I bought the Trek 1000 only for resale purposes.  I really had too many bicycles in the Old Shed at the time and I was anything but interested in owning another bicycle with an aluminum frame set.  I prefer lugged steel frames and I probably always will.
