1976 SUPER MONDIA SPECIAL - INTRODUCTION

FOUR MONTHS TO FIND

Months had passed, since I first made the effort to locate this mid seventies, Super Mondia "Special".  When the call came in offering the old bicycle, the lady who called suggested that the frame set was "superlative".  A proper choice of word?  I am not sure.

The word "superlative" caught my attention, to say the least.  My interest was captured and I decided to go immediately to have a look.  I was also a bit taken aback because the search for the bicycle had began several months prior.  This too increased my interest level.  By the time the Ranger and I set out to have a look, I was filled with anticipation and, as usual, having a lot of fun.  The fun factor was about to go through the roof!  This is one of the things that I like most about collecting vintage road bicycles.  Visiting the magical cave where the bicycle has been in hiding for a quarter of a century or more.
