ZEUS ALPHA - INTRODUCTION

A UNUSUAL FIND FROM SPAIN

Though it comes as a bit of a surprise, I have managed to uncover two vintage Zeus bicycles in my travels.  One too big and one too small.  I say surprise, because I live in a fairly remote part of Canada.  It would seem unlikely that such bicycles would have found their way to this small community in days gone bye.  That said, a young fellow who works at one of the local bike shops has also managed to uncover an old Zeus and his turned out to be something a bit special.

I have no idea what model the Zeus is, however; since the component grouppo is near full Zeus Alpha, I will call the bicycle a Zeus Alpha 71.  As for approximate vintage, best guess would be early to mid seventies.  I base this guess on information supplied by the original owner, a fellow I worked with for many years.
