OLMO GRAND PRIX - INTRODUCTION ONE TOO BIG - ONE TOO SMALL
It has been my good fortune, to own and ride, two early eighties Olmo Grand Prix bicycles. The first, a beautiful Italian Red mount that I kept and rode for three years. Finally, I had to admit that the bicycle really was too big for me. The second Olmo, light blue in color, of similar vintage and closer to my size came into The Old Shed at the wrong time. Both bicycles have gone to new homes, but I would definitely like to own another older Olmo, one day. Olmo bicycles are of Italian origin and I have come to believe that vintage Italian bicycles are among the best in the world. These two lower end Olmos both offered support to that belief. I hated parting with either one since both offered great rides and looked pretty good doing so. NEXT - FINDING THE FIRST OLMO GP
