ATALA PROFESSIONAL - INTRODUCTION

Found for not much more than a song in a Duluth, Minnesota bicycle shop basement, this very early seventies Atala Record 101 Professional was the only bicycle I truly regret selling.  And, I have sold some pretty nice bicycles, in my time.  The Atala Pro was the perfect bicycle for me - Italian, very well made and my size.  Though, this lovely old Italian road bike did not present itself as a complete bicycle, the frame set, bottom bracket and head set were all included in the deal, as was the Universal Model 61 brake set.  Not a bad buy when one considers what I paid for the bicycle.

Why did I sell this beautiful old Italian steed. I did have my reasons but none that make much sense to me today.  I honestly wish that I had kept this nice old Italian bicycle and I regret selling it more than any other, including my 1971 Carlton Professional.
