PEUGEOT UO8- INTRODUCTION COMMON BUT VERY NICE TO RIDE!
Peugeots were and still are very popular bicycles. So popular, in
fact, that the Peugeot company set up shop in other countries in an effort to
avoid the high tariffs assigned to the importation of complete bicycles.
With this in mind, many Peugeots were built in other countries, Canada being a
prime example. This
gorgeous blue Peugeot UO8 is pure French and a
really clean example
Non-French Peugeots should not be belittled. They are, as often as not, fine bicycles offering a ride that equals or exceeds that of the European models. That said, the French Peugeot is by far the more collectable bicycle. Sold in huge numbers during the Bike Boom of the early seventies, there are a good many still preserved for you and me to find. If you do run across an old UO8 in nice shape, snap it up. They are truly worthwhile steeds. NEXT - FINDING THE PEUGEOT UO8
