RIDING THE CAMBIO RINO 2000

The Cambio Rino has found its way into my humble collection of Canadian made vintage road bicycles and is considered to be a keeper.  The bicycle is quite rare, certainly near to the top of the line, and has been fully rebuilt since, I acquired it.  The bicycle looks and rides great.

The 2000 is probably the lightest bicycle in my collection today.  And it feels it when on the road.  The Cambio accelerates very well and handling is very quick.  The bicycle fits me perfectly and is truly comfortable to ride.

This beautiful, old Canadian made, light weight has spent four seasons with me and been ridden, quite a bit, on three of the four.  My guess is that I have put, roughly, a thousand miles on the bicycle, since its first rebuild.  Today, it hangs in my computer room, at my summer cottage, and every so often the Cambio and I ride the secondary highway to the Sleeping Giant peninsula.  The newly installed Rino wheel set and original issue suede saddle are patiently waiting to be tried out.  Something to look forward to next riding season, now that the cottage roads are fixed.

Sadly, I never did get to riding the finally completed Cambio Rino.  Out of the blue, one day, a fellow contacted my through my email.  He indicated an interest in the 2000 and, to make a long story short, the bicycle now lives in Thailand.  I cannot help but wonder how it is holding up over there.
