CAMBIO RINO 2000 - INTRODUCTION This, mid to early eighties, Canadian made Cambio Rino 2000 is a unusual find and a very nice bicycle. Though I have stumbled across a few other Cambio Rino bicycles, this one sports the nicest component grouppo of them all. Almost everything is pantographed with the Cambio/Rino name. The Cambio feels and is quite light, when compared to similar vintage Canadian and European mounts. However, it is a bit more flexible than one might like. The Cambio accelerates well and handling is a non issue - quick yet precise. I like the feel of the 2000 and I enjoyed learning as I restored the bike. I should add that the Cambio Rino is the first bicycle that I went all out on during the restoration process since building my very first bicycle, a mid seventies Sekine I decided to name Big Green. Cambio Rino bicycles were the predecessor to the Gardin mounts made famous by two time Olympian Kurt Harnett, a Canadian boy who managed to capture a couple of Olympic medals in the early to mid nineties. And he did so riding a Gardin each time. NEXT - FINDING THE CAMBIO RINO 2000
